Cuisinart Slow Cooker Review and Comparisons

cuisinart slow cookerAre you looking for more information and comparison about various Cuisinart slow cooker models (and a few other models thrown in for good measure)? Then you’re in the right place.

Much like you, I’m a busy mom. I used to spend a small fortune each month on unhealthy fast food just because I couldn’t find the time to make a home-cooked meal for my family. There just weren’t enough hours in the day to stand in the kitchen and stir pots.

Thankfully I stumbled about some information about crockpot cooking one day and after a bit of trial and error and a few different crockpot models I was hooked. We now enjoy coming home to a finished dinner and spend quality time together as a family while we share a healthy meal. Ready to do the same?

When you first start looking at slow cookers it can be more than confusing. The best crockpot for you will depend on a few different factors including what size you need for your family and what features you’re looking for.I’m writing this blog to share with you some of the information I’ve gathered over the past few years to help you shortcut through them and get started with the crockpot that’s just right for you.

Of course I’ll also have some yummy recipes to share. Stay tuned for those along with some crock pot reviews.

In my opinion Cuisinart makes some of the best slow cookers on the market and the one that works perfect for us is the Cuisinart PSC-650 Stainless Steel 6-1/2-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker. It’s the perfect size for our small family of four, but has all the programmable features of a larger, more expensive slow cooker.

I love using it in combination with my cuisinart bread maker. I cook a soup or stew in the slow cooker while the bread bakes up in the bread maker. By the time dinner comes around, we have a fresh loaf of homemade bread to go along with our stew. It doesn’t get much better than that, be it on a cold winter day or as a light supper in the summer.

Of course Cuisinart isn’t the only game in town and we have recently changed into a two crockpot household. This works great when you want to make a main meat dish in one and cook a slow cooker side dish at the same time. I love my West Bend 84966 Slow Cooker for those days.

Whether it’s your first, second or even third slow cooker (yes, some of us are that crazy and yes, we’ll use them all at the same time), there are a few things you want to look for.
